"Its one thing being great, another thing to let the world know"

We are seeking young aspiring independent bands or singer songwriters to send in your own original compositions to enter into the DenimMusicWorld.com competition and a chance to win up to RM25,000 in prizes.

All you need to do is the following:

Participating Artistes must be legal residents of Malaysia and 18 years of age or older as of 21 October 2008.

All Artistes must register as a DenimMusicWorld.com member, complete the registration form and upload:

  1. At least ONE SONG of original composition, although not necessarily by the Artiste themselves. Songs must be in Mp3 format with a bit rate of 96kb/s, sample rates of 44.1khz and must be no more than 5 minutes per song.
  2. At least ONE PICTURE of yourself or your band. Pictures must be in high quality jpeg format and no more than 100kb per image. We recommend images to have a maximum height or width (whichever is greater!) of 200px.
  3. Tell us why you should be the WINNER in no more than 50 words (Be creative here!)
  4. Tell us about you or your band (max. 50 characters)
  5. If you like, ONE music video of your own performance (if available). Videos must be uploaded to YouTube.com and thereafter be embedded into your DenimMusicWorld.com account.
  6. Add your favourite links: myspace/ facebook/ channel V amp/ youtube/ band website or personal blog. The more details you give, fans can get to know you better!
  7. Personal data

Remember, you can only receive votes if you register and upload the minimum requirements.

Participating Artistes should not be an employee of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies or agents, their respective advertising or promotional agencies, the contest organisation or a member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not).† In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner or spouse.

Artistes must be able to perform at least 20 minutes of complete, original music.

Artistes must not be signed to any record contract or label.

Artistes must own the rights to upload and perform their own music.

Artistes must not qualify as professional musicians, with earnings exceeding over RM100,000 per year.

Don't forget that you can encourage your fans to support you by promoting your profiles through the print media, radio, distributing flyers, SMS, posters, online promotions or embedding the Poptopus widget across MySpace, Facebook, YouTube or any other portal at their own time and cost.

Remember, the more votes you receive, the closer you are to winning!
